I am working for a couple hours (we are never closed) and then off to the celebration at the Civic Center. BART is even offering free flash passes to get to the event, they are pretty cool:
This week is going to be pretty exciting, with Martin Luther King Jr. Monday and Inaguration on Tuesday (which we are airing live at work). Change is upon us and it is very inspiring.
I will not post the "I Have a Dream" speech like I have in the past. But instead will post some of my favorite quotes.
A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom. -Martin Luther King, Jr.
History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. - Martin Luther King Jr.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. - Martin Luther King Jr.
