I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
We leave tonight, to go home for Christmas. I have not been home for Christmas since 1995 (I moved out here in the summer of 1996). We may not be sleeping on the plane in the hopes that we may see Santa and his sleigh out the window. Yes, we have fully reverted back to little kids since we are going to my parents house for Christmas.
We arrive early Christmas morning in Chicago and then transfer and will get to Detroit mid-morning. We have Christmas Day and Saturday in Michigan and then leave on Sunday morning back to the Bay Area. My parents leave on Sunday morning as well they are in search of sunnier skies, warmer weather and hopefully a new home! This very well could be the last Christmas in the family home - bittersweet, I have not yet wrapped my head around it.
Of course Tim will have to go to Athen's Coney Island while we are there for one of their World Famous Red Hot Coney Dogs, we will watch a Red Wings game (on TV), and will also be drinking Vernor's and eating Better Made Potato Chips!
Boarding passes are printed, we are not checking bags, we just need to get to the aiport late tonight, park and get to the gate. Please pray for clear weather, a smooth flight and no delays!
