I am so behind. I have good reason though, I have been having a good time hanging out with friends.
I will go back one week....
Last Saturday (July 3) Tim and I took BART down to the Ferry Building and met up with our friends, Robin, Kenny, Kim and Gary (they all drove up from San Jose). We walked around the farmers market for a little while, it was super crowded though so we decided to start walking towards Fisherman's Wharf. It was a beautiful day to be out and about. It is fun to be a tourist in your own city too! We went to Scoma's for lunch, which was delicious (they have incredible Bloody Marys).

After lunch, we walked around a little more in the Wharf area and decided to go to the Fillmore Jazz Festival. The only problem was...there were 6 of us! We would either have to take two cabs, take a bus or try to find a mini van cab. We hailed a mini van cab, Kenny got in the front, Gary had Kim on his lap on the back bench seat, I got in the middle and Robin was next to me - we were squished in there like sardines in a can but where was Tim going to go? Then Tim jumped in and was sort of perched over me and Robin, but mostly on Robin's lap and at a stop light the cab driver jumped out and opened the back up and Tim jumped in the back. It was hilarious! I have never in my life been in a cab with 6 of my friends with a crazy driver from Africa who told us this was normal in Africa just to jam as many people as you can into the cab. We got to the Jazz Festival and all of the bands were on a break at the same time (there were 4 stages within a 5-6 block span of Fillmore Street). The boys got some beer and we walked around checking everything out and people watched a bit. After a while we got a little hungry again so we went to a pizza joint, ordered a pitcher of beer and some little pizzas and sat around a talked a bit. Tim and I took the bus back home at the end of the day. It was a great day out in the city. We laughed a lot, walked a lot and ate some great food!
