At lunch today I saw a dog wearing bedazzled jeans and a cute pink top...really? Besides the bad hair day, I felt pretty good today until my navy blue shirt that, by the way, has been held captive in my closet during this horribly rainy and cold winter has waited ever so patiently for its coming out day was suddenly downplayed by a dog in denim!
Yeah, you read that right...a dog in denim! This dog had more style than I have in my pinky finger and my pinky finger is always in style whether drinking tea or throwing a baseball. I don't really get it, I mean do you think the other dogs that were out to lunch were looking at her wishing they had her style, her body, her looks? Were the boy dogs whistling at her? Ummm...I wouldn't know because it’s a dog whistle and humans can’t hear it unless you are one of those strange characters from the Twilight series but that is beside the point.
My final thoughts are, if you have a dog and plan on dressing it up on occasion please make sure those occasions are parties, dog only events and places where women like me won't be second guessing the jeans she's wearing.
I am interested...if you dress your dog, what message are you trying to convey? The below photo says to me, I dress ChiChi like a small child to hide the fact that she has a serious smoking addiction. PS - you are not hiding anything, ChiChi looks like smoker and we can see the evidence!

Fashionably Late
Elizabeth Taylor arranged it ahead of time that her funeral start 15 minutes late so she could be fashionably late to her own funeral. Genius. I am totally adding that to my funeral plans. What funeral plans you may ask...you can find them here in the comment section of this post on my friend Angela's blog.

Goodnight Elizabeth
February 27, 1932 – March 23, 2011
The first time I saw Elizabeth Taylor was when I was sitting with my Grandma Lemke in her backroom, we watched National Velvet. I remember it like it was yesterday, I was mezmerized. Since then I have seen the majority of her movies with a few left on my list. She is so breath taking, a true beauty and woman with courage and a cause (amfAR) which makes her even more incredible.
Did you know Elizabeth Taylor was the first woman to sign a movie contact for 1 million dollars? That was for the movie Cleopatra.

Elizabeth Taylor was one of the last of the great women actors from the golden age of cinema and will be missed. No one ever looked so good in a white slip if you ask me (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof).

Seems like a lot of work, but looks pretty cool!
I could go for a strawberry waffle burrito right about now.
Check it out here at Williams-Sonoma.

Royal Wedding Tea
It's not too late to plan a Royal Wedding Tea Party! Yes, the wedding is on a Friday (4/29), but can you think of a better way to kick off your weekend? Take the day off and have fun!
I sent my invites out this week and am getting really excited for all of the old school tradition that comes along with a Royal event. My fear at this point is that my DVR craps out early in the morning on the 29th and we will have nothing to watch during the Tea but honestly, I can't go there. Now I am just waiting for airtimes and networks and finalizing my menu.
Here is a look at my invites...

The Music Never Stopped
I love the idea of this movie.
The fact that the Dead can bring a kid and his Dad together is incredible.

Cutting Room Floor
My photography class started last week so this weekend was full of homework assignments which produced LOTS of photos...most of them left on the cutting room floor I have to admit. I am so used to taking photos on the auto setting and this class is all manual, so there is a bit of a learning curve and yes, there were tears (out of pure frustration). Here is a glimpse of my mistakes - getting the speed/f-stop ratio proved to be quite difficult for me, but I am getting it, slowly but surely. All I can do is keep practicing and see what happens.
PS - if there isn't a hair salon out there called "The Cutting Room" or "The Cutting Room Floor" there should be.
